Product Warranty

RHMS uses many different manufacturers all of whom provide varying levels of warranty on their product. One key difference between RHMS and our competitors is we provide a supplemental labor warranty for all of our installations. Simply stated, if for any reason a piece of hardware purchased from RHMS fails while covered under the manufacturer’s warranty in the first year; RHMS will provide, at no charge, the labor to remove the failing piece of equipment for repair under the manufacturer’s warranty and re-install the repaired or replaced equipment. The customer is only responsible for shipping if it is necessary to send the equipment in for repair.

Service Warranty

RHMS warrants all our labor for a period of one year from the date of the original invoice. If for any reason there is a failure in your system due to an installation error or incorrect programming of your equipment RHMS will, at no cost, provide the labor at the installation location to correct the problem. An exception applies to any installation that is more than 25 miles from the nearest RHMS office. A charge of $30 per hour for travel time plus mileage at the current IRS rate for mileage reimbursement will be assessed. This warranty does not cover re-programming or updates to remotes if customer introduces new equipment or requires a change in programming beyond that which was completed at the time of installation.

Warranty Exclusions

RHMS is not responsible for warranty repair in the event anyone other than RHMS has un-cabled, re-cabled, or otherwise changed any hardware, hardware setups, software setups or any physical changes to the installation. This also includes accidental re-setting of the equipments internal settings or factory defaults. This is regardless of whether the equipment was RHMS or customer provided equipment that was integrated into the installation.

Extended Warranty

RHMS has both hardware and service extended warranties available as well as maintenance contracts that may be purchased for an additional charge.
